Municipal Roll Watch – Q2 2026

"New valuation rolls and supplementary valuation activity continue across the country, making it important for property owners to review valuations and categorisations carefully when rolls are published."

New valuation rolls scheduled for implementation in July 2026

In addition to the more than 30 municipalities implementing new valuation rolls on 1 July 2026, there are over 70 supplementary valuation rolls currently open for objections.

Supplementary valuations are typically undertaken where the value of a property has changed due to new buildings, building extensions, or the correction of incorrect values.

A list of general and supplementary valuation rolls currently open for inspection and objection is available on the Rates Watch website:

Property owners should review new valuation rolls carefully once they are published to ensure that valuations and property categorisations are accurate.
