Hello and welcome to Rates Watch registration service.

This is the first step towards you ensuring that your municipal property valuation is correct and that you are paying the correct amount of rates and taxes on your property.

Once you have registered, Rates Watch will allow you, free of charge, as part of your registered profile to search for and assign properties that have been registered under either a South African identity number or South African company registration number. You may assign multiple properties to your profile.

Please note that the Rates Watch database currently uses the above identifying criteria to locate the property being searched for and links it to the properties registered in the deeds offices throughout the country.

As a registered member you will qualify for the following free services:

• Notices calling for objections to a valuation roll;

• Deeds office data match;

• New municipal valuations; and

• An invitation for subscribers to instruct Rates Watch to screen an individual valuation.
